Gail is a Benefits Advocate with GolderCare. Gail is number 4 of 6 children. Child five was born with developmental disabilities which started advocacy for a disabled family member during childhood.

As the “lead child”, Gail became the healthcare advocate for her parents as they aged voicing and reinforcing with medical professionals what medical care they wanted or did not want. On more than one occasion that advocacy involved rejecting “the protocol” of additional procedures or treatments. 

Seldom does one have a straight path from high school to retirement. Gail’s path has travelled through a music education degree, teaching, banking, business education degree, life insurance and annuity product development and compliance, and legal assistant. GolderCare allows Gail to put all of this training and expertise together to assist our clients. A born teacher, she has the ability to convert the jibber of annuity and insurance policies – especially long-term care policies – into consumer-friendly terms allowing clients to understand their coverage.

Outside the office you may see Gail either directing or ringing in one of her three Handbell Choirs. Gail is married to GolderCare’s founder Jamie Long. In addition to her Benefits Advocate duties, she also serves as the Office Manager for GolderCare.
